Dr. Diana Shechtman is a board-certified Optometric Physician who obtained her degree from Nova Southeastern University in 1998. She completed an ocular disease residency at Fox Medical Ctr in Miami in 1999. She was a FT professor for 18 years at Nova Southeastern Univ. She served as the coordinator of the Diabetes & Macula Clinic and the Director of Interdisciplinary Education Program. In 2016, she completed a 6-month retinal clinic shadowing sabbatical at Retina Macula Specialists of Miami (RMSM). She joined RMSM as the consultative physician from 2017-2021. She is currently the consultative optometric physician at Eye Centers of South Florida, where she continues to practice full-scope medical optometry.
