This case of a doctor located in MA and unable to treat Glaucoma is an excellent example of why ODs should be allowed to treat this disease. The need for treatment of Glaucoma is so important and helps to achieve the ultimate goal of slowing down the disease. This patient emergency may have been prevented if the OD in MA could treat this patient like the OD in PA!
