A win for optometry for the day! A 37-year old that presented for a diabetic exam indicating what I diagnosed as lipemia retinalis. I sent the patient for a lab work up including triglycerides and cholesterol. What happened next both surprised me and motivated me to take action for the sake of the patient’s health!
